Daryl is a trained actor (Northwestern University), self-taught playwright and over-educated freelance graphic designer (University of Memphis), based in Atlanta, Georgia.
Her full-length plays, including Greyhounds, Georgia Out of My Mind, and Split in Three, have been produced and/or read at Truman State University, the Minnesota Fringe Festival, the New Stage Theatre (where she was selected in the 2007 Eudora Welty New Plays Series), and
Off-Broadway. She also , reads and produces short plays from time-to-time with Working Title Playwrights in Atlanta.
In 2006, she met composer Aaron McAllister and a prolific collaboration began in the form of musicals. They have three so far: lift, POPart: The Musical,and Blackout.
Currently, Daryl enjoys the occasional acting gig and caters to the graphic design needs of professional theatres in Atlanta—where the theatre scene is always hoppin'—and beyond. |
